My name is Matt Buecker and I am the founder of this site. In addition to maintaining and growing this site, I also provide consulting services for electrical design, analysis and documentation of commercial buildings. Please contact me to learn more.

Services Offered

Electrical Engineering drawings/documents in CAD format for commercial and industrial facilities up to 50,000s.f. In this capacity, I will use my experties to completely engineer the electrical design, start to finish, and then draft all plans in CAD format so that they are of a high quality to present to a client, contractor or the local AHJ.

Site assessment reports for existing and proposed electrical distribution. I will perform a site visit and then write a narrative of my findings and recommendations.

If required, electrical engineer's certification (sign/seal) is available.

My Qualifications

Thorough knowledge and experience with power, lighting, data/comm and fire alarm devices per National Electrical Code (NEC), International Building Code (IBC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) requirements.

Design of 120/208v and 277/480v electrical distribution systems ranging from 100amps to 2,000amps.

Design of lighting layout and photometry including requirements necessary for footcandle minimums, "dark sky", lighting control and contactor/relay systems.

Calculations and design of power back-up systems including generators (gas and diesel), uninterruptable power supply (UPS), transfer switches and redundancy.
