Generators in Electrical Drawings

Generators are sized based on the load calculations of the equipment that is to be served by the generator. The generator, transfer switch and all other associated components are then designed and connected to the panelboard/distribution as required by the scope of the project and per NEC.

Below are sample CAD drawings which demonstarte the engineering and construction of the generator system. These are only a few examples but will give a lot of detailed information about how generators are incorporated into electrical engineering drawings.

The image will give an overview of the design while the pdf download gives more detail and clarity. In order to view the pdf document you will need to have Adobe Reader installed. It can be downloaded for free here.
